Method 2. Copy the texture pack. Open the folder where you downloaded the Texture Pack. Right-click on it and select Copy. Open the Minecraft texture pack directory. Now, you should see your new texture pack in the lefthand column. In the image above, you can see that the texture pack is red. This means that is not fully compatible with the version of Minecraft that you are currently playing on.
